When most people think of ribs, whether baby-back, St. Louis style, or spare ribs, they tend to think of pork! Beef ribs are also incredibly tasty, even though they may not be as popular! I just made a batch of beef short ribs that came out amazing! Click here to see how I did it!
I grabbed a set of beef short ribs from Sam's Club!
OMG, these things look great!!
Time to hack 'em up into more manageable pieces!
Cutting them apart is not mandatory,
but it certainly helps make life easier!
They all fit nicely into my largest frying pan!
I added a tblspn or two of vegetable oil and...
half of a packet of McCormick Slow Cooker Pot Roast Seasoning!
Get it sizzlin', then...
...add the other half of the packet of McCormick Savory Pot Roast!!
Sizzle & flip as necessary until...
...the love starts to happen!!
Resist the urge to stuff one of these in your mouth!!
They aren't cooked through yet!!
Toss 'em in Le Creuset!
Sexy close-up!
Prep the vegetative matter!
Quit down-boogying and throw that shit in w/ the meat!
Don't forget the celery!
(Don't forget that it is also mostly for flavor and show, as opposed to huckin' on!)
Cebolla!!
Everyone say it w/ me!!
{"¡Seh-bo-yeh!"}
Toss the onions on top!
This batch of short ribs was so big that it needed a second packet of
McCormick Savory Pot Roast!
1.5 hrs in the hotbox & it was looking good!
Just another 2 hrs to go!
Sexy close-up!!
Another sexy close-up!
It was super tempting to dive right into this, but...
...it's super HOT!!!
One more shot before stoaching it outside for the night!
The fat has congealed nicely at the surface
because I put it out in the cold over night!
This is the easiest way to separate the fat from the good stuff!
5 minutes later!
Good stuff in the pan above...
...and the crap goes on the lid!
Carrots are worth keeping!
Aside from the meat, the rest is crap!
Separate out the meat and the shred it
to get all of the chunks of fat out of it!
Sexy close-up!
Another sexy close-up!
Serve it on some noods, yo!!
*This* is what Dinty Moore aspires to be!
